236 Hope Street, the home of several incarnations of Lerner | Ladds + Bartels over the years, serves as a great example of our adaptive reuse work. Located in the College Hill neighborhood of Providence, this converted home provides a unique alternative to the typical office building. In order to maintain its classic design yet tastefully indicate our location to current and potential clients, we designed and installed a glass entryway at the Hope Street entrance. As the angle of the building itself does not face the roadside, the new telescoping vestibule reorients the main entrance to Hope Street. In our signature fashion, the design for the entry seamlessly combines contemporary styles with forms that are sympathetic to the building’s historic façade.
