LLB Chosen for Three New Projects

November 18, 2014 – LLB has been chosen for three exciting new projects. We are thrilled to continue our relationship with the Town of Foxborough on the design of their new Town Hall. The project includes the demolition of the existing town hall and the design and construction of a new facility that will accommodate the current and future needs of the Town’s administrative operations as well as improved resident access and meeting space. Foxborough’s Boyden Library opened last year and has been well received by the Town and library community. We consider it a privilege to be selected to design this important new building for the town and look forward to getting started.

The E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison, CT was designed by Henry Bacon and completed in 1900. Two additions in 1965 and 1989 offered some temporary relief from over-crowding but also chopped up spaces leaving a fragmented foot circulation pattern and hidden rooms. The expansion of the Library will include an addition and renovations to the 1965 and 1989 wings, historic restoration to the original Bacon building, and improving landscape, parking, and access for the entire complex.

And finally, on Nantucket, we have been engaged to work on a unique renovation project on the Island’s Shellfish Propagation Facility located at Brant Point. The 1,740 square foot building serves as a year-round climate controlled facility for the Town in its support of the Island’s shellfish populations. This our third project for the Town of Nantucket; we just finished Security Upgrades to the Island’s schools and have an On-Call Services Contract for the Schools through 2016.
