Bolton featured in American Libraries Magazine

The Bolton Public Library was recently selected to be featured in American Libraries Magazine, the magazine of the American Library Association. Highlighted under the Reclamations and Renovations category, this section features libraries that started life in other forms, as well as renovations that adapted what was already there rather than starting over with new construction. Photos of the library also appeared under Enhanced Functionality and Community Living Rooms. The Bolton Public Library was expanded from 2,000 sf to 16,000 sf while maintaining the characteristics of the historic library built in 1901. One sustainability adage goes: “The greenest building is the one already built.”
